Snappy Materials was founded in January 2004, with the goal of serving customers in the international niche markets of aerospace, electronic, industrial, and PVD coatings.
In June 2006 Snappy Materials purchased Alloy Metals International (now Alloy Metals, Inc); a distributor specializing in high temperature alloys for the aerospace and forgings industries. As of January 2007 Alloy Metals began to handle domestic business, with Snappy Materials supporting the requirements of international customers.
